Level Up Boys’ Club

What does “Level Up” mean?

“Level Up” isn’t about being better than someone else.

It’s about being better than you were yesterday.

It means learning how to pause before reacting.
It means choosing respect over attention.
It means understanding that real confidence doesn’t need an audience.

Leveling up is growth. It’s maturity. It’s self-control. It’s leadership in everyday moments…in the hallway, in the classroom, on the bus, online.

I created Level Up Boys’ Club because, as both a boy mom and a former 8th grade Reading and Language Arts educator, I’ve spent years watching boys try to figure out who they are in environments that don’t always give them the tools to grow well. Middle school is loud. It’s social. It’s competitive. And for many young men, it’s confusing.

Level Up Boys’ Club is a middle school leadership and mentorship program focused on emotional intelligence for boys, conflict resolution skills, accountability, peer pressure resistance, and confidence building. Designed for students ages 11–14, it supports character education, social-emotional learning (SEL), and youth leadership development in schools.

Level Up was created to help boys understand that real strength isn’t about being the loudest in the room or the most disruptive in the hallway. Real strength is control. It’s confidence. It’s knowing who you are and standing on it.

This program started with my own son in mind. I wanted something that would challenge him, encourage him, and give him practical tools he could use every single day. When I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, I built it.

What Level Up Boys’ Club Is

Level Up Boys’ Club is an 8-week leadership and life-skills program designed specifically for middle school boys (ages 11–14).

We focus on:

  • Confidence and self-awareness
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Accountability
  • Peer pressure resistance
  • Conflict resolution
  • Public speaking and communication
  • Identity and self-respect

Why This Matters for Parents

Middle school is a turning point.

It’s where identity starts to solidify.
It’s where peer pressure increases.
It’s where emotional reactions can create lasting consequences.

Level Up reinforces the kind of growth that supports both academic success and social development. Boys learn how to regulate their emotions, communicate more clearly, and take ownership of their choices.

The objective isn’t perfection. It’s awareness. It’s growth. It’s maturity.

And it’s done in a way that feels relevant to them.

About Me

I’m B. F. Glenn — writer, educator, and teacher’s advocate.

I’ve worked in middle school classrooms. I understand the rhythm of that age group. I know how quickly things can escalate, and I also know how deeply kids want guidance…even when they don’t say it out loud.

Level Up Boys’ Club was created from both professional experience and personal investment. I care about how kids develop, how they view themselves, and how they are prepared to enter high school and beyond.

This program is rooted in structure, accountability, and encouragement. It’s thoughtful. It’s intentional. And it’s built with middle school boys in mind. Maybe one day, we can create a girls’ club. It’s just my son needed me to steer this one first!

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Level Up Boys’ Club for?

Level Up is designed for middle school boys, typically ages 11–14. It’s especially helpful during the middle school years when identity, peer pressure, and emotional reactions start to intensify. Boys do not have to be struggling academically or behaviorally to benefit — this program is about growth, not correction.

How can our school bring Level Up to campus?

Schools can host Level Up as:

  • An 8-week after-school club
  • A small group leadership program
  • An advisory enrichment experience

If you’re a principal, counselor, teacher, or parent interested in launching Level Up at your school, reach out through email (info@sixthsensepublishing.com). I personally oversee program coordination, but I’d love for male adults to be involved as much as possible.

Is this only for boys who have behavior issues?

No. This is not a behavior intervention group or a disciplinary program.

Level Up is for boys who want to grow, lead, and better understand themselves. It’s about strengthening decision-making, confidence, and emotional awareness before small challenges turn into bigger ones.

Is this faith-based?

Level Up is values-driven but not religious. It focuses on character, integrity, responsibility, and leadership in a way that is inclusive and appropriate for public or private school settings.

What happens during a typical session?

Each 40-minute session includes:

  • A focused topic (confidence, accountability, peer pressure, conflict, etc.)
  • Real-life scenarios and role-play
  • Open discussion
  • Interactive activities
  • Practical tools they can apply immediately

The tone is structured but relaxed. Boys are encouraged to speak, think, and challenge ideas respectfully.

Will parents receive updates?

Only if the school introduces this club as one that provides updates. Otherwise, parents will receive a brief overview of what topics are being covered so they can continue conversations at home if they choose. The goal is partnership, not separation.
